HCPSS Hazardous Weather Outlook Information – Outdoor Games and Practices Canceled Tuesday

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook as temperatures are expected to be in the mid to upper 90s. There are several considerations and pieces of information families should know when temperatures become elevated.

Afterschool Athletics
All outdoor athletics contests and practices are cancelled for Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023. Athletics and Activities Managers and coaches will communicate with teams if activities are able to be brought indoors.

An earlier email related to transportation provided adjusted start times for athletic contests this week. We anticipate that those will take effect beginning Wednesday, Sept. 5, unless further adjustments to the athletics schedule must be made. Additional information will be provided to the community tomorrow related to Wednesday contests.
